Therapeutic effect of modified Guishen Pills combined with auricular acupoint pressing with bean for patients with diminished ovarian reserve and concomitant infertility
ObjectiveTo investigate the therapeutic effect of modified Guishen Pills combined with auricular acupoint pressing with bean for patients with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) and concomitant infertility. MethodsA total of 120 patients with DOR and concomitant infertility were randomly divided into observation group or control group, with 60 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional therapy, based on which the control group received modified Guishen Pills for treatment, and the observation group was treated with modified Guishen Pills combined with auricular acupoint pressing with bean on the basis of conventional therapy. The Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score, and ultrasonic indices in terms of antral follicle counts (AFC), ovarian arterial flow resistance index, ovarian volume before and after treatment, as well as the total effective rate of treatment, pregnancy within 1 year (the rates of pregnancy, liver birth, and abortion) of follow-up were compared between patients of the two groups. ResultsAfter treatment, the Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score and ovarian arterial flow resistance index in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, AFC and ovarian volume were increased as compared with before treatment, and the aforesaid indicators in the observation group were superior to those in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of treatment and pregnancy rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). ConclusionModified Guishen Pills combined with auricular acupoint pressing with bean for the treatment of patients with DOR and concomitant infertility exerts a significant efficacy, which can effectively ameliorate the clinical symptoms, ovarian function, and increase successful rate of pregnancy in patients.
