Objective To investigate the current statues of economic toxicity in patients with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE), and to analyze its influencing factors. Methods A total of 251 TACE patients were selected as the research subjects. The general data inventory, economic toxicity scale of outcomes reported by cancer patients, simplified scale of cancer patients fear disease progression were used to perform investigation. The multiple linear regression model was employed to analyze the influencing factors for economic toxicity in TACE patients. Results The score of economic toxicity in TACE patients was 15.52±6.62, therein the proportion of patients with high economic toxicity accounted for 79.3%. The results of multiple linear regression revealed that occupation, knowledge of treatment expense, total score of fear disease progression, educational level were the influencing factors for economic toxicity in TACE patients (P<0.05). Conclusion Economic toxicity is common and at a high level in TACE patients. Clinical medical and nursing personnel should targetedly evaluate economic toxicity of high-risk population in time, and formulate early, effective and personalized intervention strategies for high-risk population, so as to reduce their economic toxicity, and improve their quality of life.
