Objective To analyze the current status of the occurrence of post⁃intensive care syndrome⁃family (PICS⁃F) of critically ill patients with nervous system diseases and its influencing factors. Methods A total of 204 family members of patients admitted in neurosurgical ICU were selected as the research subjects. The general data inventory, Post⁃Traumatic Stress Disorder Checklist⁃Civilian, Fatigue Severity Scale, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index were used to perform investigation. The Logistic regression model was employed to analyze the influencing factors for family members of critically ill patients with nervous system diseases suffering from PICS⁃F. Results There were 146 (71.57%) family members suffering from PICS⁃F among 204 family members of critically ill patients with nervous system diseases. The results of Logistic regression analysis revealed that gender, educational level, monthly income, relationship with patients, and length of patients' ICU stays were the influencing factors for family members of critically ill patients with nervous system diseases suffering from PICS⁃F (P<0.05). Conclusion Family members of critically ill patients with nervous system diseases obtain a high incidence rate of PICS⁃F, and gender, educational level, monthly income, relationship with patients, length of patients' ICU stays are the influencing factors for family members of patients suffering from PICS⁃F. The clinical medical and nursing personnel should focus on the physical and mental health of high⁃risk family members of patients, take active intervention measures in time, and reduce the occurrence risk of PICS⁃F.
