ObjectiveTo investigate the current status of discharge readiness for kidney transplantation recipients, and to analyze the influencing factors for their discharge readiness. MethodsA total of 204 kidney transplantation recipients were selected as the research subjects. Investigation was conducted by using the general information inventory, Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale (RHDS), and Quality of Discharge Teaching Scale (QDTS). The influencing factors for discharge readiness for kidney transplantation recipients were analyzed by using the generalize linear model. ResultsThe total score of discharge readiness for kidney transplantation recipients was 92.70±20.46, and the total standardized score was 7.72±1.70, therein, the dimension of adaptability exhibited the highest standardized score and the dimension of personal status depicted the lowest standardized score. The total score of RHDS positively correlated with QDTS total score in kidney transplantation recipients (P<0.05). The results of generalize linear model analysis revealed that educational level, residence, distance from home to hospital, monthly household income, disease course, and QDTS total score were the influencing factors for RHDS total score in kidney transplantation recipients (P<0.05). ConclusionDischarge readiness for kidney transplantation recipients is at a medium level, educational level, residence, distance from home to hospital, monthly household income, disease course, and discharge teaching quality can affect their discharge readiness. Nursing staff should formulate targeted intervention strategies according to the influencing factors, thereby improving disease management ability of kidney transplantation recipients after discharge, so as to ameliorate long-term prognosis.
